SPLASH OF FUN

The image of NYC children cooling off in the summer with fire hydrants is as iconic as the city’s yellow cabs.

However, the high pressure water flow can be harmful resulting in an incredible amount of water waste and runoff.

GROUP PROJECT asked AKA Imagine to collaborate on designing four hydrant caps, each with a different water experience, that would be fun, aesthetically pleasing, and safe while reducing water waste with a custom-made valve to easily open and close the flow.
